Childrens' Day at School

This had been one of the most mesmerizing day in my three years of schooling at The Hyderabad Public School, Ramanthapur. It was 14 th November, 2008 which is celebrated as childrens' day thoughout the world. My friends and I planned a lot for this day. We thought of having a disco type of feeling by arranging some rocking audio tracks along with flash-lights that we usually get to see in the discos. So my friends and I arranged the required necessities on that day and we were all set for a BIG BANG.

Firstly, we were to listen a few words from our class teacher, Deepika maam. She was asking us about our future plans about in which college we are wishing to get into etc. She told that "let us start the discussion with our prefect which was none other than ME." So we all expressed our plans for our future and maam also gave her valuable suggestions on it.

Then maam gave us some chocolates as it was after all our day ( childrens' day) and she left then. We arragned the dec and flash-lights ourselves and all of us were set to dance. We just switched on the equipments and they began to work. We put up the song "Jalwa" from "Fashion" and in no time, the power was off. Meanwhile, we decided to take a few snaps. After we had taken a few pics, we returned back to the class. Then we turned on the dec again and danced for "Singh is Kinng". Before the song was about to get over, we had to stop it again as we had to leave for the assembly for some cultural programs.
After the programs were over, we had to directly go to the dining hall where some delicious "chicken" was waiting to be put into our tummys. After we had our lunch, we left into the ground to play Cricket. We divided ourselves into two teams and began to play. Our team captain(Sachin) had trusted me and given me the bowling in the last over. I had managed to give away no runs in 5 balls. It was da last ball and the opposition needed 4 runs to clinch the win. It was me at one end and Rakesh at the other end batting. But unfortuantely, he hit a six to take away the game from us. Overall it was a great day if I hadn't lost my flash-light. When we left to play cricket in the ground, someone had stolen my flash-light which was in my bag.

My Memorable Trip to Riyadh - December 07

Riyadh, the capital of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is a wonderful place to live to in. This year’s vacation to Riyadh was a very mesmerizing one. It was a 1 month trip which seemed to have ended very soon though it was a 1 month trip. I went to Riyadh on 20th December, 2007 and came back to Hyderabad on the 19th January, 2008. This was one of my most fascinating trips to Riyadh. I visited Riyadh during my winter vacation which was of 1 month. I left from Hyderabad on the 20th January, 2008 early morning and I landed there in Riyadh in the morning at around 10:30. I was traveling alone to Riyadh as an unaccompanied minor and I was taken good care of the air host and the hostess. I was handed over carefully to my father who came to receive me at the airport. Then we left to our house and I was getting many calls from my friends. I got a call from Abhishek asking me to come to the Golf Course. I did not have a passion or liking towards this game earlier. But then when I played the game, I was really excited and enjoyed it. I played quite good looking shots on the first day itself. I almost reached 100 Yards distance on the first day itself. We played for quite a long time in the Driving Range and then when it was evening, we went to the Chipping Area and practiced Chipping and Putting. I couldn’t do Chipping that nicely but Putting was quite ok with me and didn’t take much time to learn. Then we had some snacks in the Restaurant, sat for some time and then left to a Hypermarket after which we were to go to ‘Pizza Inn’ where all my friends were to meet. I was very excited because I was meeting them after a year. Finally the time came when we all met there. We had some good time passing jokes and talking about our funny experiences. After that we had our dinner and then played for some time. When we all were playing, I came to know that it was planned to go to a villa on the next day. I was very excited for that as I never visited that villa. All my friends gave a name to it which was called as ‘Chandramukhi Villa’. We all left to our homes and then the next day we were to go to the Villa.
This was really an extra-ordinary day. I was very excited to go to the Villa. We all met at a hypermarket. We played catches for some time as a few people didn’t arrive yet. Then all the boys sat in one car and girls in another. We had race during our drive to Kharj, the place where the villa is located. This place was almost one and a half hour away from the city. We started off by playing Cricket. In the mean while, the uncles interrupted us and asked us whether we would come to the ground with them. We went there and started playing. We played only one match with them and then left for lunch. Then we played with all the aunties. We let them bang sixes and fours. They gave a tough competition by scoring 158 runs. We could easily chase the target as we had many DONS in our team, but then wontedly we lost the match as we wanted the aunties to win the match as they rarely play with us. Then we went to have snacks. After all this was over, the time was about 5:30 p.m. This was when we started to play catches. We all took some splendid catching practice. We ended our game at 9:15 p.m. We couldn’t even imagine that we were playing catches since four long hours without even a break. Then we had our dinner and sat down for some time. We had nice entertainment even after having our dinner. The kids were jumping on each other, wrestling, boxing, fighting and what not [of course, not seriously]. Then as we were about to leave to our houses, two cars got stuck in the sand. Then all the uncles got into work to pull out the two cars which took about half an hour. Then after the cars were let out from the sand, we all left to our houses. This was one of the most exciting day in my life.
The next day was a resting day. This day all stayed in their own houses. The next day was much more memorable for me. This day all my friends were going to go to Muzambiyah which was about 70 kms away from the city. There we all rented a few buggies and rode them for an hour. I had taken the big one which was much faster than the other ones and also costlier. We all enjoyed the riding. We all went as a group from one end of the Sand Dunes to the other end. While driving the buggies, I had a narrow escape from the fire. There was a place which was a bit steep where there was fire, I was going a bit fast on the buggy where my bike went over the fire. I was lucky as my leg didn’t go down but still my buggy’s tire went on the fire. Then we continued to ride the buggies. After coming back to the starting point where our parents were there, after reaching there, little more time was left out, so were gave a few bikes to the parents are asked them to ride. After a while the buggies were given back, but I had 20 more minutes left to ride my buggy. Then I went onto the hill twice which was very exhilarating and pleasurable. After some time, I gave back the buggy and we went back home. Then we ended our riding at about 4:00 p.m. We had snacks and then left back to our homes. This was a memorable day in my life.
